Planning 310B school time? Ask about the schedule.
Originally published
Learning Ontario’s 310B trade includes time at work and time in school. A clear schedule helps you plan both.
Know what the timetable means
Skilled Trades Ontario lists several possible formats, depending on the training provider. Block release means full-time classes for a set number of weeks. Day release means a day each week during the school year. Part-time or alternative delivery may also be available. These are possibilities, not a promise that every provider offers every format.
Ask before making arrangements
Ask the approved training provider about confirmed dates, daily hours, location, required attendance and equipment. Then discuss the plan with your sponsor—the employer or organization supporting your apprenticeship. Include travel time and family responsibilities. Do not assume that a preferred timetable or place is confirmed.
Take one useful next step
Write down the schedule question that matters most to you. Bring it to your sponsor or the training provider before making commitments. Elite’s proposed 310B program has no confirmed intake to book.
