310B: support the person who teaches.
Originally published
A busy collision shop depends on skilled people. When an experienced worker helps someone learn, that teaching deserves attention too. Supporting Ontario’s 310B workforce includes supporting the people who pass on their skills.
Learning happens with people
Skilled Trades Ontario describes workplace training with a skilled worker or trainer as part of a 310B apprenticeship.
Make the conversation practical
An employer and trainer can discuss three questions: when can we explain the task, when can the learner ask questions, and how will we check understanding? These are planning suggestions, not a promised training arrangement.
Recognise the teaching work
Thank the person who explains the reasoning, listens and makes time for another question. A welcoming conversation can help someone explore the trade. It does not create an apprenticeship registration or training credit.

Jordan’s story is a fictional AI-generated illustration with English audio; it does not show an operating Elite Auto college.
