Look beyond the finish
Skilled Trades Ontario includes removing, replacing or adjusting steering and suspension components in its trade description. This illustrates the range of the trade; it is not a repair procedure.
Ask how the work connects
On an arranged, supervised shop visit, ask your host: “How does the team decide which systems need attention after a collision?” Follow visitor instructions and leave tools and vehicle controls alone.
Explore the learning behind it
If you enjoy understanding how parts work together, tell a teacher or guidance counsellor what interests you. Jordan’s fictional shop visit offers a conversation starter. A visit does not register an apprenticeship or establish training credit.
