Two parts of one apprenticeship
Skilled Trades Ontario describes a typical 8,000-hour apprenticeship: 7,280 hours of workplace experience and 720 hours of in-school training across three levels. The overall timeframe is approximately four years.
Workplace practice and classroom learning support each other. The 720 hours are one component, not a complete qualification on their own.
