310B: the inside matters, too.
Originally published
A finished car is more than its outside panels. Skilled Trades Ontario includes repairing or replacing interior components in the scope of Ontario’s 310B trade. That opens another useful conversation during a supervised shop visit.
Start with a part you can name
Ask a technician to point out an interior component involved in a repair and explain its role. What needs to happen before it is removed? Where will it be kept while other work takes place? Observe from the designated visitor area; do not handle parts or controls.
Notice the organization
Look for how the team keeps track of removed parts and explains the next step. Being curious about the process is more useful than assuming every repair follows the same sequence.
Turn curiosity into a next step
Choose one thing you would like to understand better and discuss it with a teacher, guidance counsellor or apprenticeship sponsor. Watching a film or visiting a shop is exploration; it does not establish competence or automatically earn apprenticeship credit.

Jordan’s story is a fictional AI-generated illustration with English audio; it does not show an operating Elite Auto college.
